A second tragedy struck the Hadassah Neurim family this week with news that former student Nitzan Goldenberg was murdered by Hamas terrorists during the Re’im music festival massacre.
Goldenberg, a technician with Tesla in Israel, was laid to rest in Netanya on October 10.
“You were an honest person with a good heart and a friend, we laughed so much together,” eulogized a colleague.
For two days, his family turned to everyone they knew and those they did not in the search for Nitzan. His sister, Hadar, posted on social media a photo of his distinctive lime-green Suzuki Jimny jeep in the hope that it would trigger someone’s memory about seeing him safe and sound.
The city halls in Eilat, where his father is a teacher, and Netanya, along with the scout movement expressed their grief at Nitzan’s passing.
Terrorists also killed former Hadassah Neurim Youth Village student, police detective First Sergeant Major Alik Pozniakov, 37.
The village is offering psychosocial help to all current students and graduates are invited to reach out to the alumni office if in need of help.
