Welcome to Hadassah Nassau! We are a region on Long Island covering Nassau County and western Queens. We are over 15,000 members strong in around 25 chapters and groups.
We are a diverse group of women who support Hadassah’s mission and projects in Israel.
There is a lot going on in Nassau! Our chapters and groups, as well as the region, offer a wide array of programming. Among them are book groups, films programs, speakers, health programs, cards and games days, and other programs that are entertaining, social and educational.
We support the Hadassah Medical Organization, Hadassah's Youth Aliyah villages and Young Judaea through a number of fundraising activities. We are known for the Hadassah Walks Long Island for Stem Cell Research and Beyond event, a joint fundraiser with Hadassah Suffolk.
Hadassah Nassau actively encourages our members to participate in advocating for Israel and women's health issues and combatting antisemitism through Hadassah’s National Action Center.
Members receive twice monthly emails of upcoming activities, a twice-yearly print newsletter, The Communicator, and, of course, the award-winning Hadassah Magazine.
