On Sunday, February 1, 2015, Hadassah National President Marcie Natan presented Prof. Dan Engelhard with the much deserved Henrietta Szold award. Prof. Engelhard was scheduled to receive the award at Hadassah's 2014 National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, but could not make the trip due to Operation Protective Edge keeping him busy at the hospital. He received the award for his medical work with AIDS patients in Africa.
