In recognition of her work treating Israeli soldiers wounded in Gaza, Dr. Alona Katzir, an orthopedic trauma specialist at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, will be among the doctors chosen to kick off the Jerusalem Marathon, taking place on International Women’s Day on March 8.
"For a year and a half I have been receiving surgical training for the treatment of trauma victims, and this prepared me for a situation that no one expected on the 7th of October,” Dr. Katzir told Israel’s Ynet news.
In her interview, Dr. Katzir talked about how the use of 3D printing is advancing the work of Hadassah’s Orthopedic Department.
