Nearly 120 senior staff members from the Nursing Division at the Hadassah Medical Organization met on September 23 for a one-day conference on"Responsibility and Leadership."
The program kicked off with greetings from Suzanne Patt Benvenisti, head of the Hadassah Offices in Israel, and Rely Alon, director of the Hadassah Medical Organization’s Division of Nursing and Health Profession, along with a video message from Prof. Yoram Weiss, director general of the Hadassah Medical Organization.
Journalist Shai Gal gave a talk about the anatomy of leadership, followed by psychologist Shirley Yuval's presentation on the loneliness of leadership, in which she shared personal stories and research on the challenges leaders face on a daily basis.
Dr. Sigal Shafran Tikva, director of the Center for Research & Innovation in Nursing at Hadassah, shared updates, followed by a presentation on body language with actor and body language expert Lior Kalfon.
Made possible by The Yehudit and Herman Swartz Nursing Endowment Fund, established by Hadassah in 1988 to support nursing education and scholarships. The conference gave participants the opportunity to step back from their day-to-day duties, a welcome change in environment and dynamics from the ongoing situation and reality of the past year.
