Carol Ann Schwartz is Hadassah’s 28th national president. She has more than 30 years of service to Hadassah at the local, regional and national levels, including roles as member of the Board of Directors of the Hadassah Medical Organization, Speakers Bureau chair, national secretary, a national vice president and Cincinnati Chapter president, among others. Carol Ann was a recipient of the Presidents’ Award in 1994. Carol Ann, of Cincinnati, has been active in her local community, serving as president of Yavneh Day School (Rockwern Academy) and on the boards of Adath Israel Synagogue and Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. She earned a BBA in marketing and management from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA in finance from Xavier University. Following seven plus years in banking, Carol Ann now works with her family in commercial real estate.
Carol Ann and her husband, Michael, are proud Guardian donors to Hadassah, and she is a Keeper of the Gate. Her family consists of four generations of Hadassah life members, and Michael is an Associate. Their children Matthew, Elan and Alli are involved with Hadassah as Associates and a member respectively.
Kacy Spivack is now serving a 3-year term as Hadassah’s National Secretary. Following her Presidency of the Desert-Mountain Region, much of her Hadassah life included roles in various aspects of leadership and training, training on all levels, from local to National, in-person and virtual. As a National Vice President and the Division Coordinator of Member and Unit Services, Kacy’s roles gave her the opportunity to visit many Units throughout the country to get to know staff and volunteers while leading training sessions in each Geographic Area. She also held leadership positions in other Organizations on the local level. As the 3rd generation of a 5-generation life-member family, with 4 generations of Associates, Hadassah has been a major part of Kacy’s life. Kacy and Steve, now retired, live in both Dallas, Texas and Newton, Massachusetts, spending time with their children and grandchildren. Kacy and her husband Steve are members of Hadassah’s Circle of Founders and Keepers of the Gate.
Janet was a member of the Portfolio Council and the last Region President of the former Hadassah Upper Mid-Atlantic region, where she held several positions including Vice President, Annual Giving and Treasurer. She served as the Hadassah Northeast Co-Chair of a Leadership Retreat, and within her own chapter, served in a variety of leadership positions culminating in President. Janet was admitted to the US Supreme Court as a participant in Hadassah’s Attorney’s Council Swearing-In Program. She and her husband Miles are Keepers of the Gate.
Michelle Conwisar, elected national vice president in Aug 2025, is a longtime volunteer for Hadassah, having served as region president in Hadassah Southern California. Michelle has served on the National Assembly since 2019 and the National Board since 2021. Her past and present national portfolios include west coast chair of the 360° of Healing Capital Campaign, and National Evolve: The Next Generation Social Media Liaison helping to expand Hadassah’s outreach to a younger demographic in local communities around the country. Michelle is the Vice Chair of the upcoming National Capital Campaign, a new Comprehensive Cancer Center, which will be launching in the near future. Michelle’s husband, Phil, is a Hadassah Associate and together they are Hadassah Founders and Keepers of the Gate. They have two adult daughters, fourth generation Life-Members. Michelle’s mother, Linda Glesser Morris, is a member of the National Honorary Counsel.
Lynda Heyman was elected to serve as a National Vice President in August 2025. She serves on the Executive Committee and as an elected member of the National Finance committee. After serving as President of the Greater Pittsburgh Region, Lynda has served 10 years on the National Board, and 7 years on the Finance Committee. She was the first National Chair of Chai Society, Annual Planner for all of the regions that are part of the West Geographic Area and Vice Chair of GA Finance. In her local area, Lynda is president of her synagogue and a 29-year volunteer with the IRS preparing taxes for low income and seniors. She is self-employed, preparing tax returns for over 40 years. Lynda, a Keeper of the Gate, is the third generation of a five-generation family. She and her husband Marvin, an Hadassah Associate, are the proud parents of three supportive children.
Michelle Hubertus was elected a national vice president of Hadassah in July 2023. She serves on the Executive Committee and is a director of Hadassah International LTD. Previously, Michelle was Hadassah's national treasurer. She has served as a Henrietta Szold member of the national board, Hadassah Leadership Fellow, Northern New Jersey Region membership coordinator, Millburn Short Hills chapter president, and has also served on numerous committees. Professionally, Michelle is a senior risk and capital management executive with over 25 years of experience successfully leading risk management, data governance, regulatory, and systems teams overseeing change initiatives at multiple global, banks. Michelle holds a BA in economics and international affairs from Lafayette College and earned an MBA in finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Michelle and her husband Jim are Hadassah Founders and proud parents of three resilient children.
Dale Marcus was elected to serve a three-year term as a national vice president in 2025. She is currently chair of the 2025 National Conference in Aventura, Florida, team leader for the Planned Giving & Estates Department and a member of both the Ethics Committee and the Unit Oversight and Compliance Committee. She also serves as the Executive Board liaison to the Organization Division. She is a proud Luminary donor to Hadassah, as well as a Silver Keeper of the Gate. Dale has more than 30 years of service to Hadassah at the local, regional and national levels, including chapter president, region president, member of the Speaker’s Bureau, resource chair, trainer for the Philanthropy Department and co-chair of the Society of Major Donors. She has been vice chair and chair of the Planned Giving & Estates Department for eight years. Dale has received the Hannah Goldberg Award two years in a row for her innovative Jewish education programs, and she has been active in her local community, serving as president of the sisterhood, ritual chair, Gabbai and board member of her synagogues. Dale is a retired clinical psychologist. Her family consists of five generations of Hadassah life members.
Dana Waxler was elected as a Hadassah national vice president in July 2024. She is a past region president for Hadassah Southern and a past president of the Chattanooga chapter. Her previous portfolio includes 11 years on the Annual Giving Team, serving as the Keeper of the Gate chair and co-chair for Annual Giving. She also served as a liaison for the Membership Outreach Team and as the Associates chair. Professionally, Dana is an architect. She holds a master’s degree in architecture and a BS in interior design, and she is now retired after practicing architecture for over 40 years. Dana is a proud four-generation life member, and her husband, Richard, is a Hadassah Associate. Dana is a Golden Keeper of the Gate, and she and her husband are Circle of Founders.
Deborah Wiskind was elected as a national vice president of Hadassah in July 2024 and has served on the Executive Committee since January 2025 and on the National Board since 2021. Since finishing her presidency in Hadassah Westchester (2012-2015), Deborah has held various portfolios in the Organization Division, most recently as chair of the Leadership Training and Development Department. Deborah received both a Hadassah National Leadership Award and the Judith Epstein Memorial Award. She earned her BA in art and art history and MFA in painting. Deborah is an artist/graphic designer and the owner of DeeJ Design, a distributor of promotional products, advertising specialties and imprinted apparel. Deborah, a proud Hadassah donor, is the fourth generation of a five-generation Hadassah family. She and her husband, Michael, are proud parents of two adult children.
Viviane Kovacs of Searingtown, NY, is the Hadassah national treasurer. She is also simultaneously serving as the Finance Division coordinator and HMO recognition chair. Previously, Viviane served as the coordinator/vice coordinator of Hadassah's Philanthropy Division. She was Hadassah’s national annual plan product manager and a past president of Hadassah Nassau.
For almost 30 years, Viviane has been an active member of the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore, where she was a past president. She was honored by the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation of NY/NJ for her role in bringing the community together and by UJA Long Island Women’s Division for her commitment to the well-being of the Jewish people through her involvement with Hadassah. She previously worked on Wall Street.
