Strengthening Zionism — the Jewish people’s connection and commitment to our historic homeland of Israel — is at the core of Hadassah’s mission. Amid escalating anti-Israel sentiment, we need to amplify women’s voices as thought leaders, educators and advocates in support of Zionism and Israel now more than ever.
From a study group over 100 years ago, Henrietta Szold helped launch the healthcare system in Israel and a legacy of engaging women throughout the US. Today, Hadassah promotes programming to deepen our understanding of and enhance our pride in Zionism. Our advocacy efforts support Israel’s security and a strong US-Israel relationship and further Hadassah’s commitment to healing the world.
Equip yourself with talking points for your conversations about Israel at war
America’s Zionist women were a powerful force for Israel well before the country was founded and they are a powerful force for Israel today. Have you seen our second annual list of 18 American Zionist Women You Should Know yet? We’ve got an Emmy Award-winning actress, an LGBTQ+ progressive Zionist, a constitutional scholar and more.
What does it mean to be a Zionist today? How has your relationship with Israel been impacted since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023?
At your family table, on social media and in conversations with friends and colleagues, many are grappling with the different ways different generations talk about Israel. We are living in a world where people are questioning past assumptions about what it means to support Israel. Hadassah’s Zionism programs create spaces and uplift multiple voices – especially in cross-generational women’s conversations – allowing us to explore the complexities of identity, peoplehood and what it means to be a Zionist. Watch a variety of speakers and panels discuss how inspirational Zionism can be and listen to stories about shared society.

Now more than ever, Israel needs our support. Join us as we collectively raise our voices to combat anti-Zionism and to advocate for Israel’s security and on other issues important to the Jewish community. Hadassah speaks out against efforts aimed to tarnish and delegitimize the State of Israel. We also carry on our rich history of actively promoting the expansion of critical US-Israel medical partnerships.
Empower yourself to combat anti-Zionism and antisemitism with Hadassah’s programs, which give members tools to engage in the difficult conversations we are all facing. Join today to take part in these programs!
At the same time, we cannot ignore the toll of fighting antisemitism. In response to the spike in anti-Zionism and antisemitism post-October 7, 2023, Hadassah launched Everyday Antisemitism: Women’s Stories survey. Two-thirds of Jewish women surveyed reported that antisemitism is affecting their lives, relationships and work. Their moving stories and the statistics Hadassah collected are published in a must-read report, From Fear to Resilience: Women Facing Antisemitism.
