NEW YORK, NY — In response to Congress’s passing a bipartisan security aid bill to ensure that Israel can defend itself against Iran and its proxies, Carol Ann Schwartz, National President of Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, made the following statement:

“Hadassah thanks the broad coalition of Democrats and Republicans in Congress for standing by our ally Israel as it defends itself from terrorism, and for passing this critical emergency funding bill. Hadassah members across the country advocated strongly for this essential legislation. We are glad to see the strong and broad support for America's strategic alliance with Israel. We continue to pray for the safety of our friends, families and colleagues in Israel and to call for the immediate release of the hostages Hamas continues to hold.”
