NEW YORK, NY — Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is proud to announce the 2024 class of Evolve Leadership Fellows. The women are the third group chosen for the two-year leadership development program, which the organization launched in 2022 to identify and nurture the next generation of Hadassah leaders. Each fellow underwent an extensive application process before being selected.

The incoming group of fellows comprises a diverse group of women in their 20s, 30s and 40s from California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oklahoma and Washington, DC.  They work in a wide range of professions, including nursing, teaching and real estate. One fellow works in IT security management for the Department of Homeland Security while another is pursuing a PhD in homeland and emergency services management. One fellow is a stay-at-home parent while another produces local theater and was in the original cast of the hit Broadway musical “Kinky Boots.”

All of the fellows are involved in communal work as volunteers or members of national and local nonprofit organizations in addition to Hadassah.

Said Carol Ann Schwartz, Hadassah National President, "It’s a pleasure to introduce Hadassah’s third class of Evolve Leadership Fellows. At this critical time, it is more important than ever that we nurture Hadassah leaders who can help ensure a strong Israel and fight back against antisemitism."

During their first year, the fellows will meet with Hadassah's national leaders and take part in Hadassah programs and initiatives. They will also participate in a series of leadership development workshops led by Hadassah's senior management team that will focus on inspiring others to advance Hadassah's mission.

In the second year, each fellow will take on a special Hadassah project in her local community. Some members of previous classes have met with state legislators to advance Hadassah's public policy priorities, such as ensuring a secure Israel and a strong US-Israel relationship, protecting reproductive freedom and combatting antisemitism. Other fellows have created social media campaigns to engage younger women or helped organize events for Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation, the initiative for younger Hadassah members of which the Evolve Leadership Fellows program is part. Fellows have also represented Hadassah at community events and spoken at local and regional Hadassah board meetings.
