The Nashville Chapter of Hadassah is a dynamic group of women who share a passion for social action, helping others, combating antisemitism and championing the State of Israel. With the support of our male Associates, our multi-generational group also focuses on advocacy for women’s health issues and education, as well as making sure to have social gatherings just to have fun and enjoy each other's company.
Our chapter boasts a thriving community of over 650 Members and 150 male Associates, offering diverse opportunities for programming and volunteering to those eager to make a difference. We strive to provide informative and inspiring events that encourage members to actively contribute to Hadassah's mission. Our recent events have been both popular and varied, including book club discussions, cooking demonstrations, Havdalah candle making, Hanukkah Happy Hour, hamantaschen bakes, and a significant fundraiser aimed at supporting the urgent needs of displaced persons in Ukraine through critical medical assistance and relocating younger Ukrainians to Youth Villages in Israel.
Our chapter and Hadassah’s general fundraising efforts support the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Israel, which has been a world leader in medical research and fostering peace through the power of healing. HMO brings advanced medical care to patients regardless of race, religion or nationality, and more recently has been a leader in treating COVID-19 patients.
We support several Hadassah initiatives, including Youth Aliyah, which provides services to immigrant, refugee, and at-risk children in Israel. We also support Young Judaea, an organization that operates camps and youth programs in the United States, as well as the highly attended Year Course program in Israel. We are proud that the Nashville Chapter has been chosen to participate in a new program, Hadassah Momentum, which will inspire mothers with children under the age of 18 who are still living at home to travel to Israel, building a stronger connection to their personal Jewish identities, the State of Israel and Hadassah, leading the way for the next generation of Hadassah members.
