Welcome to Hadassah Greater Washington! Our region has many opportunities for active women to meet each other, learn new skills, develop friendships and support the outstanding medical research at Hadassah’s hospitals in Jerusalem.
We have over 7,300 members in the Washington metropolitan area, which includes Maryland, Northern Virginia and West Virginia, stretching from Annapolis to Silver Spring and Rockville, and from Fairfax County to Morgantown. In addition, we are working on forming a young women’s chapter in Washington, DC.
We are a busy, active region! We have invited speakers both online and in person on a variety of topics, ranging from public policy issues to the science behind medical marijuana. Recently, we took a virtual trip to Cuba and met with one of Maryland’s senators at a “Virtual Day on the Hill.” Prior to COVID lockdowns, we took docent-led tours of museums and visited DC landmarks.
We hope you will find something that stirs your passion and connects you with other dedicated women who want to support the land and people of Israel, empower women, and improve health care in the US and around the world. Find out more about our programs and how you can be counted among “The Power of Women Who Do!”
