Overview
Welcome to Hadassah Lower New York State, home to eight chapters and 3,500 members across historic Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties as well as Poughkeepsie, NY, home of Vassar College. Our members come from a diverse range of experiences, ages and backgrounds. We are an active, engaged community of women who collaborate, empower each other and are inspired to further Hadassah's lifesaving work in the US, Israel and around the world. We are proud of our advocacy work visiting legislators, statewide and in Washington, DC. Our Annual Fashion Show & Boutique is one of our most successful fundraising events of the year — fun, flashy and not to be missed. Every year, we march together in NYC's Celebrate Israel Day Parade, help sponsor the Rockland Jewish Film Festival and partner with JCCs in community-wide endeavors, all while supporting our individual chapters. Welcome to Hadassah Lower New York State, a vibrant, active region with eight chapters and 3,500 members providing many opportunities to learn, to lead and to do. Chapter and region activities run the gamut — from programs about groundbreaking advances in patient care by our physician-scientists at Hadassah's hospitals to engaging in a variety of creative, fun projects we do at Hadassah, here at home.
