Stephanie Z. Bonder is currently the chair of Speakers Bureau, as well as a member of the Antisemitism Committee and Zionist Education Team in the Education & Advocacy Division. She is also a member of the National Board of HWZOA.
Stephanie is the immediate past chair of "Building Hadassah Community" and the past chair of EVOLVE Hadassah: The Next Generation, where she followed her vision to inspire young women with her passion to connect to Israel through Hadassah. She has been a team leader for advocacy communications. In that role, Stephanie spearheaded meetings with various members of Congress and senators from New Jersey and worked with the Simon Wiesenthal Center to help pass municipal resolutions against the BDS movement in northern New Jersey. She has served as the president of the Caldwell Chapter and president of Hadassah Northern New Jersey. She credits her love of Hadassah to being raised in a strong Hadassah Zionist family with a deep support of Israel. As a college student, she spent a year studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Having earned her master’s degree in education from Rutgers University, she taught for 17 years at Golda Och Academy, a Solomon Schechter Day School in West Orange, N.J. Currently, she teaches Israel education at her synagogue, Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, N.J., and focuses on Israel education in her involvement with the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest.
