“We need to continue to try and foster excellence –– and show that we bring to the table innovation,” Prof. Yoram Weiss, director general of the Hadassah Medical Organization, told the Jewish Journal of Greater Boston, speaking about the wide-ranging breakthroughs in research and care that took place at Hadassah in 2024 under the backdrop of a country at war.
Prof. Weiss said that he is especially proud of Hadassah’s advancement in personalized medicine, including tailored immunotherapy and artificial intelligence, which is being used to more effectively treat cancer and other complex conditions.
“We have 13 competitive research grants from the Israeli Scientific Council and a significant number of research grants from the European Community as well,” Weiss said.
