Growing up, Linda Ettinger Lieberman frequently accompanied her beloved grandmother on Hadassah outings. As a young woman, she became part of a lively cohort in White Plains, New York, and has proudly served in the Elana Chapter and the Westchester Region in almost every capacity over the past 46 years.
“Hadassah is my home, my passion. It is my family and my creed. And it governs how I lead my life,” Lieberman writes in a blog post for The Times of Israel.
On June 15, 1980, Lieberman’s grandmother handed her a “handkerchief with a Hadassah Life Membership pin inside,” writes Lieberman. “She passed away that night.”
“I proudly made my daughter a fourth-generation life member when she turned 18 and I look forward to making my granddaughter a fifth-generation life member soon,” she writes.
