Thanks to the continued decline in serious cases of COVID-19 in Israel, Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem was able to close its one remaining COVID-19 Outbreak Unit on April 19. However, there are still six COVID-19 patients at Hadassah and, therefore, its COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) remains open.
Throughout the pandemic, Hadassah treated more COVID-19 patients than any other Israeli hospital. When the pandemic was at its worst in Israel, Hadassah was taking care of as many as 150 COVID-19 patients in six Outbreak Units and two COVID-19 ICUs. To date, more than 4,500 COVID-19 patients have been treated at Hadassah.
