Today’s youth are making their voices heard in very powerful ways. And at Hadassah, we want to raise and amplify those voices. To that end, Hadassah Magazine and jGirls Magazine, an online publication by and for Jewish teenage girls and young women, have announced a new teen essay contest that will address the subject:
How does my Jewishness impact my work for social and racial justice?
You may interpret and approach this question in the way that feels most authentic to you. There is no “right” answer or perspective. This can be a positive or negative impact, it can be about internal or external factors, etc. We’re eager to hear a wide range of interpretations and experiences.
The contest is open to self-identifying Jewish girls and women between the ages of 13 and 19 who reside in the United States, the District of Columbia and the State of Israel, except where prohibited by law.
