"Your immediate support is critical to our ongoing efforts to offer life-saving treatments and optimal care to Israel’s most severely injured." — Prof. Yoram Weiss, Director General, Hadassah Medical Organization
Since the horrific attacks on Israel, the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) has treated some of the most severely wounded IDF soldiers and civilians.
The stakes are high, with over 3,000 people injured and the grim likelihood of more to come. We are operating in full emergency mode; both our trauma and emergency centers are experiencing a significant increase in patients. We also continue to aid families from the south who have sought shelter in the Jerusalem region and have begun offering emergency mental health services for those suffering from anxiety and trauma responses.
We are preparing to grapple with long-term requirements of patient care and anticipate every patient HMO is treating will need rehabilitation. The demand is poised to reach unprecedented levels. HMO is expediting the launch of two state-of-the-art underground emergency facilities within the nearly completed Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus and the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower at Hadassah Ein Kerem, both of which are uniquely positioned to operate under extreme conditions.
Over the past week, Hadassah has sent significant, urgently needed funds so our hospitals can continue to meet the most pressing, emerging needs from this war. I am grateful to the many dedicated Hadassah donors who have already contributed and thank all those who will be contributing for enabling us to continue taking essential action.
Your continued support is essential and needed today. Don’t forget that a generous, anonymous donor can help to double your impact by matching your donation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million. Please give now. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Prof. Yoram Weiss
