Dr. Donna Zfat-Zwas, director of the Hadassah Medical Organization’s Linda Joy Pollin Cardiovascular Wellness Center for Women and our returning guest on the Hadassah On Call podcast, is referring to none other than exercise as the game changer that can make a huge difference in preventing heart disease and helping people live with it.
Because most women — almost 60 percent — will indeed face some element of heart disease during their lifetime, with hypertension being the most common. And when serious heart problems arise, women tend to have more complications from surgery than men.
