Hadassah Research on Male Infertility Cited in USA Today

An article in USA Today about male infertility cites a study by Hadassah researcher Dr. Hagai Levine that found a sharp decrease in sperm counts over decades.

In the 2022 study, Dr. Levine, head of environmental health at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine, found that sperm counts dropped by more than 1% annually from 1973 to 2000 and 2.6% between 2000 and 2018, which he characterized as “an amazing pace.”
