At Hadassah's January 2023 National Assembly, Hadassah leaders gathered together in Florida to strategize and hear updates about Hadassah's crucial work in the US, Israel and around the world. Two new policy statements were passed: Support for Choice in a Post-Roe Landscape and Championing Israel's Right to Exist. The latter is particularly timely in the year that Israel celebrates its 75th anniversary. Then read below for exciting programs and activities you won't want to miss.
Celebrate a major Hadassah milestone! Hadassah Loves Educators: Inaugural Celebration of Our New Educators Council. Named Amazon's top book of 2022, the New York Timesbest-selling novel centers around the 30-year relationship between a Jewish woman from Los Angeles and her Jewish Korean childhood friend as they develop a successful video game company. What you can do for heart health: Join us for "Hadassah ❤ YOU: Building Healthy Habits Together," a program for American Heart Month. Come together with the Hadassah community nationwide to share ideas, inspirations, secrets and successes to living a heart-smart lifestyle. You will hear from experts and friends and leave with new heart-centered tools for 2023. Tuesday, February 28, 8 pm ET.
Define it, defuse it: Hadassah is engaging directly with the White House on the National Antisemitism Strategy. Click here to join us in urging the new interagency group to address all forms of antisemitism, which includes anti-Zionism.
Listen and learn:Fertility & Sperm: The Lowdown, the new episode of the Hadassah On Call podcast, dives into the findings of a new study showing a drastic decrease in sperm count and sperm concentration over the past decades. Listen as Professor Hagai Levine, public health physician, epidemiologist and head of the environmental health track of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Braun School of Public Health, discusses how this can impact fertility.
