"I am prouder than ever to be a Hadassah medical professional, to be part of an organization that understands the importance of a delegation of this kind and that lives up to its mission: to provide the best and most professional medical care to any human being in need, wherever that human being may be." So says Dr. Rivka Brooks, director of pediatrics at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, and part of the team on the ground in Poland providing lifesaving medical care to refugees. Read her powerful and inspiring story here.
While we are at home, we can take a moment to reflect on the heroic work of Dr. Brooks and our Hadassah team overseas. It is also National Nurses Week (beginning May 6), an ideal time for us also to express gratitude to Hadassah's many nurses and allied health professionals, in the US, at Hadassah's hospitals in Israel and around the world. Hadassah's health-care heroes truly express the power of healing the world together.
