We can't overstate the significance of Yom Yerushalayim to Hadassah. This Israeli holiday, beginning on Sunday evening, commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six-Day War in June 1967. For Hadassah, the reunification of the city also meant the reunification of our two hills of healing — Mount Scopus and Ein Kerem — as Hadassah was forced to abandon its original hospital on Mount Scopus, in 1948, when Jordan seized the Old City the day after the declaration of Israel's statehood.
For this reason, this truly is a "Chag Hadassah" (Hadassah holiday), one we'll be celebrating with a special virtual program you won't want to miss.
