One Book, One Hadassah looks at the classics: Marjorie Morningstar and Other Essential Reads for Jewish Women.  Marjorie Morningstar, a touchstone for many Jewish women, is our August One Book selection. What else is considered an "essential read" and why? We'll address this question with a distinguished panel of authors featuring Rachel Kadish, The Weight of Ink; Nessa Rapoport, Evening; and Paula Marantz Cohen, Of Human Kindness: What Shakespeare Teaches Us About Empathy. Moderated by author and journalist Sandee Brawarsky. Tonight, August 11, 7 pm ET.

Every Move Counts: Party at the Finish Line

Celebrate Every Move Counts: Everyone is invited to the Every Move Counts: Party at the Finish Line. Join the Hadassah movers and shakers who have completed our new fitness initiative, Every Move Counts. How to cope with trauma: Are you having a hard time grappling with the lingering emotional effects of COVID-19? Like many, you may be feeling an increased sense of stress, isolation, unease, grief and even trauma. Women have been particularly affected by the pandemic, from increased caregiving responsibilities to job losses. Join us for Women and COVID: From Trauma to Resilience to learn actionable skills for coping with trauma of all kinds from an expert — Dr. Shiri Ben-David, director of the Rehabilitation Psychology Internship Program at the Hadassah Medical Organization. Hadassah Magazine Discussion: Our popular virtual series continues with Live with Anita Diamant: From The Red Tent to Menstrual Activism. Hadassah Magazine Executive Editor Lisa Hostein will interview best-selling author and journalist Anita Diamant, whose most recent book, Period. End of Sentence., explores the cultural taboos and perceived shame surrounding menstruation — and champions an emerging generation of activists advocating for solutions. Tuesday, September 14, 7 pm ET.

Powerful together: Watch highlights from our July National Meetings, featuring recordings on new initiatives and notable speakers, including Dalia Itzik, chair of the Hadassah Medical Organization's (HMO) Board of Directors and the first female Speaker of the Knesset, who shared key insights on Hadassah's hospitals.
