Master Sgt. Shahar Shnawi from the village of Tamra, was critically injured when a terrorist opened fire near the Beit El Junction. He was shot in the abdomen.
Shahar was taken to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, where Prof. Achmed Eid performed life-saving surgery on him. "I thought I was dead. Both of my parents have already died, and I thought I was joining them," Shahar commented.
After operating on Shahar, head of surgery Prof. Eid said he's going to be just fine.
