More than 130 Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) health-care professionals are among the 1,500 Israeli medical professionals that cosigned a letter urgently calling on the international medical community to condemn the savage massacre of Israelis by Hamas. Two of the letter’s three writers are from HMO: Shani Paluch-Shimon, director of the Breast Oncology Program, and Aron Popovtzer, director of the Sharett Institute of Oncology.
The letter, as reported by The Lancet journal, also called on the medical community to “immediately call for guarantees for the safety and health of all those being kept hostage and to unequivocally call for the immediate and unconditional return of our families and friends who have been cruelly taken hostage.”
