Jewish Standard: Ellen Finkelstein on Becoming Hadassah’s New CEO

“I see what Hadassah is doing worldwide, and the mission is so robust and interesting to me, and so closely aligned with my values, that I’m excited about this,” said Ellen Finkelstein.

Finkelstein was speaking to the Jewish Standard, the Jewish newspaper of northern New Jersey, about her exciting new challenge: taking on the role of CEO and executive director of Hadassah.

The opportunity intrigued her, she told the reporter. “I felt like this was made for me…”

And Finkelstein, who recently became a Hadassah life member, learned all she could about Hadassah.

“With its commitment to Israel, its dedication to fighting antisemitism, its determination to improve healthcare for women and children, and its mission to stay on the front line of medical advancement, Hadassah is playing a vital role in bringing the Jewish community together and helping us focus on what is important,” she said.

“She is the perfect person to work with us to build on Hadassah’s accomplishments, increase its impact globally and lead the organization into the future,” said Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz.
