This Sunday, January 14, marks 100 days since Hamas’ brutal, murderous assault on Israel. Nearly 130 hostages are still being held by Hamas in Gaza under barbaric and inhumane conditions, including eight Americans. This week, the Hadassah Solidarity Mission to Israel met with the families of Israeli hostages still desperately trying to get their loved ones returned to them. Their stories solidified what we know: we cannot stay silent while families in Israel continue to suffer.
Hadassah has and always will speak out for the people of Israel. That’s why we’re participating in the 100 Days Campaign, asking Hadassah members and supporters in every state to join Rachel Goldberg-Polin, mother of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, and the other families — and people around the world — in marking this devastating moment. All you need is masking tape and a black marker.
- Write the number 100 on the tape, and place it on your shirt over your heart.
- Take a picture, post it and tag: #BringThemHomeNow #HealIsraelNow
Since October 7, we at Hadassah have been speaking out and taking action for Israel and for the victims of Hamas’ terror attack:
- Pushing the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit the hostages to ensure their safety.
- Calling on Congress to demand immediate release of the remaining 130 hostages, as we continue to advocate for a strong US-Israel relationship.
- Demanding justice for Hamas’ unspeakable crimes against Israeli women and girls.
- Treating military and civilian casualties at Hadassah’s hospitals in Israel and providing for immediate and long-term needs. Support our efforts.
No one who cares about Israel and humanity is untouched by this war. At Hadassah, we are doing all we can to help #HealIsraelNow. Together. Thank you.
