Israel has seen a 20 percent increase in brain hemorrhage cases since October 7, according to a new study conducted by the Hadassah Medical Organization and four other medical centers in Israel, YNet News reports.
The study found that the increase is attributed to the psychological stress induced by the traumatic events of the war.
"While stress from war is often associated with psychiatric conditions like anxiety or PTSD, our findings indicate that it can also have severe physical impacts, including brain hemorrhages in at-risk individuals,” Dr. Ronen Leker, director of the stroke unit at the Hadassah Medical Organization, told YNet News.
