In the wake of the terrible tragedy of the Surfside, Florida condo collapse, the Hadassah community across the country joined together in an online program of unity, prayer, mourning and healing. The program began with introductory remarks from Hadassah National President Rhoda Smolow, followed by a prayer service and teachings from Rabbi Julie Jacobs of Beth David Congregation, Miami, and Rabbi Eliot H. Pearlson of Temple Menorah, Miami Beach, who offered words of hope and solace steeped in Jewish wisdom.
The program closed with remarks from Adrian Fischer, President of Hadassah Greater Miami, a region directly and deeply impacted by this tragedy. "Joining together in prayer reminds us we are not alone when facing such hard times," she said. "This was a much needed way for all of us as a nation of Hadassah families, members, supporters and friends to pray together for healing."
May the memories of those we lost be forever a blessing, and may the families of the victims and those missing know no more sorrow. Watch the recording here.
