Early detection of ovarian cancer is key — and yet it is still possible to cure at stage four, as was the case with the first woman treated at the Gynecologic Oncology Center within the Patricia and Russell Fleischman Center for Women’s Health at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem. The January 2023 Hadassah Magazine article “Israel Is a Testing Ground for Treating Ovarian Cancer” highlights ovarian cancer patients and the care they received at the center. One such patient, Dr. Brooks, who heads the pediatrics department at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, has also shared her story on a 2022 episode of the Hadassah On Call podcast.
