A Houston-born IDF soldier is recovering at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem from a major injury as a result of an attack by Hamas. A recent article in The Daily Mail describes how the unnamed soldier, 24, who underwent facial surgery and is now on a breathing tube after being shot in the face, was kept company by Hadassah National President Rhoda Smolow until his father was able to be by his side.
“We felt so terribly that he was in the room alone without anyone,” said Smolow.
